Hi, I’m Jenn. Welcome!
I graduated from the University of Windsor Nursing program in 2017. Shortly after, I began my career in the Emergency department. I joined the Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence (SADV) team in June of 2019.
My experiences as a nurse have taught me about the rawness of the human experience. I help people through their worst days; whether that be physical, mental, or emotional pain, life changing diagnoses, caregiver burnout, unexpected accidents or the tragedy of loss. That’s not to say my experiences have been all bad. In the emergency room we have also provided relief, restored hope and referred people to their next steps.
While human connection with others was important, I found that self-exploration was critical so that I could better understand the hard times and the healing that comes next. Yoga was useful for getting in touch with my mind and body and provided me a sense of clarity that I was searching for. After cultivating a space for healing with myself, I knew I wanted to share this transformation with others.
Now, I want to work with you.
I want to meet you where you are. I want to provide a judgment free, safe space where you feel respected and heard. I want to help you with your goals, your growth and to cheer on your progress. I want to celebrate with you, the little moments of reflection and I want to actively listen when you talk about the hard times.
Life is full of inevitable ups and downs. We grow, we stumble over old habits, we learn and we embark on a journey that is holistically and beautifully our own. We battle entropy and the natural ways of chaos; we cope, we laugh, we live. Sometimes, we may only be surviving. And every once and a while we need a little help along the way. I’m here to help.
I look forward to hearing from you and working with you.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Tuck, RN Psychotherapist
